The '55 is my fave Pontiac of that decade.  The '57 is a strong second and the '56 third.  The '56 loses points for its comparatively chunky bumper, but it is still a very nice car.

For me it’s nostalgia, well remember cruising the hot summer nights in my buddy’s 56, otherwise I’d chosen the 57, 55 a distant 3rd.

1956 is my favourite here just marginally over the 1955 because I prefer the side trim. The 1957 is last but still very nice. The weak area on all three is the heavy front bumper.

'57 please.  '57, '56, '55.

Full-size Pontiacs, the order I like them: '61, '64, '57, '63, '62, '60, '59 the only full-size Pontiacs I like the styling of.

Absolutely love the '66, '67, '65 GTOs.  The only mid-size Pontiacs I like the styling of.

Plus the '92 GP

Almost bought one, only nowhere enough leg room stopped me.

Our family had a 1955 Pontiac for a number of years (1955-65) and an Aunt had it for some time after that. Yet, I like all of these wonderful Fifties Pontiacs..

'55 is my pick cause I like the color separation.

'56 is #2 choice. Which of course leaves the '57 as #3.

This one was tough for me, as I really like all three.  But I like the '56 the best, and the reason is it came down to what you can't see in the photos.  The Dashboards!  It simply has the nicest looking and most eye appealing dash.  And since the dash is I would see every time I drive or ride in the car, '56 is my choice.

As for the ranking of the three, it goes like this:  1) '56  2) '57  3) '55

1957 for me. It marks the beginning of Pontiac's renaissance, and looks much more modern. The other two tie...they don't do much for me.

George, the dashboards are identical on both the 55 and 56 Pontiacs.
