Nice clean and lean 1965.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I had to think about this one. I lean toward the '68 because it was more powerful and had emerged into its own moniker rather than an improved LeMans. But, in the end, the '65 got me for nostalgia and a bold and daring move by DeLorean and his crew.

Easy one for me today as well; the '65 is my favorite year GTO.  I love them all though, from '64 thru '72.

I do like both body styles a lot.  However, of the two, the '68 is the winner hands down!  And I will say, I'm mildly surprised that I'm in the minority on this one, as the '65 appears to be winning the voting race.

The redesign of the 68 takes my vote.  Never liked the 65, but the 66 or 67 if they were in this picture would have won.

The '65 is easily my pick too.

I prefer the more squared off lines of the 1965 style wise. If I was looking for the best performance, the 1968 would be the one.

You are not alone George.  I find the smooth, less edgy lines of the '68 a vast improvement in the body, and the front end far more attractive and less jarring than the '65

Back in the day it would have been the '68 for its performance...today it's the straight line design of the '65.

Gents, thanks for your responses!
