When I was very small, driving through the night with my brother and sister asleep in the back seat, my mother said "look up and find the brightest star, and that will be your great aunty, Annie Holden looking down". I had never met my great aunt, but I knew then that she was very special to my mother. It has stuck with me. Not only of my great aunt and whether or not it's a clear night's sky.
