@jack-dodds You better believe it.  Back then I even drew '53 custome Mercs.  It was a sad day when I sold that bittersweet beauty to pay my college tuition.

The '53 is my fave Mercury of that decade.

1948 Dodge & 1950 Austin A40, just moving them in the drive way eventually moving to the local roads.  Self taught. After a year of bombing around at age 15 I got caught driving with out a license and of course defective equipment in the bomb, it was Mom's back up car to her '50 Austin A40.  Went to court where my right to get a license was suspended, I kept driving any way until I was in the service where I finally got a Texas license at age 18.
