These are all terrific David. If I didn't see the last one, I was going to add it; but there it is. It's real too, actually happened and was featured for a few seconds in the movie, "Tombstone".
All good!
John Bono
North Jersey
I love these; especially the Silver City one.
In a Silver City, Nevada, cemetery:
Here lays The Kid,
We planted him raw.
He was quick on the trigger,
But slow on the draw.
Why not? Very entertaining post, thanks David.
Awesome...I wasn't aware of this.
Great fun for us but I can't speak for the recipients.
In the Key West cemetery, B.P. Richards' tombstone reads "I told you I was sick".
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
really good stuff, thanks David. Bit of a different theme but just reminded me of a line from one of our most famous television comedy writers. Lived to a well advanced age and on his last couple of days lying in hospital he would tell visitors "next time you come in you'll find me in the research labs!"
@perrone1 Better that inscription on Fields' gravestone than his other famous line about why he preferred drinking booze rather than water.......
@perrone1 Good call Tony......your judgement is impeccable.....shaken OR stirred!
