You're in your prime here John! Man, this is close to a tie. I love both. Great choice in photos too John; very close comparo with each wearing similar clothes.
For me, the tipping point is the Cowl Induction on the Chevelle SS. It wins today!
While I prefer the looks of the Plymouth, the Chevy was the undisputed king of the muscle cars. It wins.

I had a hard time deciding between the cowl induction hood on the Chevy, and the grabber hood on the Plymouth. Never before has there ever been a closer comparison for me without being a tie...Chevy.
Two stunners! I'm with Tony on the Cowl Induction.

I will be the lone wolf so far. Even though I love the Chevrolet, I had to go with the GTX. It was one of my favorites back in the 70's and being the Mopar fan that I am, I could not go the other way. So GTX for me today.
Two great fun cars. Love either one but do slightly prefer the Chevelle SS.
'70 Chevelle is the best of the Chevelles. The '70 GTX is the best of the Plymouth Satellites. MOPAR or no car.
I LOVE both of these cars and would be proud to own either of them. It is as close to a tie as it gets but this morning I give the nod to the sleeker, trimmer Chevelle styling. My choice could change by this afternoon though.....
This one is tough! I really like both cars a lot. But not wanting to vote a tie, it comes down to the roof-lines for me and the CHEVY wins! For sure though, either would be welcome in my driveway anytime.

I like them both so voted a tie. Truth is though, I prefer the 68-69 years of both of them.
Love both but it's the SS that gets my pick!
Gents, thanks for your responses!
