Sending messages to members

You can send a message to another member by

• Click on the "Members" tab

• Enter the member's name into the "Search" box

• Click on the "Message" Icon

• Enter your text

• Click on "Send" at the lower right

Now your message is sent to the member.

When the member receives the message, he will get a notification text that appears in a green box at the upper right of his Forum screen. 

That green box will disappear as soon as the "enter" key is hit. So you have to pay attention when it shows up. One of your bells may light up as well. I can't send myself a message so I'm unsure of this. 

A got a few messages in December and this worked well. None since but most members seem to communicate well within the Post structure. Good to see the Message function explained. Thanks JK.

Just tried it and it works fine. I sent member Al Dorado a message asking how the hell was doing.  He replied that he was doing ok except that his urethra franklin was giving him some trouble. 🤣 What a witty character that Al is!  And so reputable, too.

Nevertheless, I believe that my topic is correct here and could also be interesting for other users.
I couldn't find a suitable answer by searching.

Is there a conditional limit on sending private messages?

I registered here today and wrote my first post.
When I try to send a private message to an user, I get the following message: "You are not allowed to write a message yet."
