A few days ago I asked forum members for their opinion of the 1967 Chevrolet Impala by Kinsmart to see if it was worth adding to the collection. I then ordered two of them, in two different colours. You know, just to make sure.

Waiting for delivery, I checked my rather crowded shelves this morning to see if there was any space available. And there wasn't. Because the last available space was occupied by . . . yes  . . . a blue Kinsmart '67 Impala.

Ho hum. No idea where I got it, or when, or why I didn't realise I had it. Ah well, they didn't cost much. Maybe I could turn one into a wagon, but the wagon version wasn't very exciting, to put it mildly. Not worth the trouble.

I'll keep the cream one. One of the neighbours' children is going to get lucky with the blue one.

    -  "Mummy, mummy, look what that senile old b****r at No 62 gave me!"

    - "What? That old pervert who plays with kiddie cars?  No way, it's going straight back. And I'm calling the police."

p.s. Just for the record, it doesn't look uncomfortably over-sized alongside true 1:43 models, the wheels and the ride height don't bother me, and the grille and brightwork are OK. A very pleasant model,. Gee, I think I'll just go online and order one. Oh, hang on a minute . . .

Most folks merely become forgetful as they age. Senile is way too strong when talking about 'our' Graeme.

Think of all the fun we would miss if we were not so absent minded. Soldier on, Graeme.

Graeme, You're hitting close to home. In the last six months I have duplicated seven models. Being the lazy guy I am, I gave them to a friend who has a small collection...  none of the models were high priced.

I do the same. I have different colors of the same car. If I like the model we'll enough I like having a couple or so in different colors.😊💯

Graeme, I understand your delemma. That is why I have created a x-cel sheet for my entire inventory, that I have with me at all times.  Never know when you see something out there and you wonder if you have it.  With over 1000 cars this makes it easy and I can store the info on my phone.  So when I walk into a Walmart, Hobby Lobby, or perusing the web, I can pull up the list and make sure if it is vehicle I would like and still need.

High priced or not, you would have given them to him anyway. That's just the type of guy you are. Bless you Pard - you're the best!

Just this last week I had a dream, so disturbing it woke me up. I have a couple of models on order, one on order for months, another for years.  My dream was my models came and I had no extra space to display them.  I woke up, realized it was just a dream, I still have spaces to display these models, when and if I receive them.

I have only started to have dreams of stuff unfinished since I realized my time is limited.
