How I would love to be transported back to those days on a 1-way ticket. Lol.
Ah yes! Air raid drills in our schools, fallout bunkers, Kruschev threatening to bury us, red dye #9, McCarthyism...those were the days!

Those things you mention were not even close to shootings in schools, kids dying of opioid overdoses, rampant homelessness, gun violence everywhere, riots in our cities on a daily basis, gender confusion, family deterioration, the absence of God in the world, and political corruption like never before.
I'd go back you the issues you mention John, in a heartbeat. It was a much kinder and more respectful world.

Hope it would be Time Machine for two, because I'd want to join you. The mess our world is in today is at its worst of my 71 years on the planet.

We are the lucky ones. We have lived a relatively safe life here in North America between 1945 and now. Wars were always somewhere else. Our generations had the best food, cars, accommodation and freedoms. We cannot however say that for most of the rest of the world. Going back to the 1950s to do it over again is a nice thought, but lets face it, we have already had a good run, why be greedy.
21 years old in 1956 please!
To quote Austin Powers.......Yeah baby...Yeah!!

David; I think I could redo the experience without feeling greedy...or experience any guilt whatsoever. I loved it that much! Lol.
