It is easy to see which cats are new to snow and those with a little experience.

By the way, I hope that the current blizzard is not creating too many hardships for everyone. Here on Geogian Bay in Ontario, Canada we have had about two feet so far today (on top of the 20 inches still there from last week) and winds are currently about 60 miles per hour around my house. Staying home it is a white-out outside. Cars tucked safely away.

We are expecting it to continue over Christmas. More of a white Christmas than any of us wanted. It will still be a good Christmas.

All the best to everyone. May you have a snug warm fire and your family around you. Thinking of you all in this important season.

wonderful video David......the last cat I owned before moving south some 35 years ago, was like the one picking a fight with the snow-shovel.....good old Ernie 😐................

........ 60 mph winds over a snow base of 40" sounds like a catastrophic Alex Haley move!!!!!......I trust you`re suitably outfitted with comfort foods, emergency generators and the like

upstate SC......no precipitation whatsoever ......with an expected low of 13° F, I`ll run a weak stream of water in the rear bathroom sink to avoid freezing pipes and then tomorrow watch Fargo on tv 😨

Hi John,

This is our second big storm of the season. 50 inches over three days in mid November. Fairly typical for Winter around here. That’s why so many Canadians are in Florida and Arizona every Winter. I don’t mind it most of the time. Yes, lots of provisions and well equipped with snowblower, shovels and even snow shoes.
South Carolina is a great place to live and my brother was there for several years, but I expect to stay where I am. I did travel extensively before Covid and expect to do so again.

David, JB and everyone else on the forum, have a very blessed Christmas. JB our weather in Mississippi is the same as yours in SC.

'Twas the night before Christmas at John Barry's house

He'd dozed off watching Fargo...curled up on the couch

The big man dreamed fitfully; thoughts tainted with dread

As visions of wood chippers danced in his head...........
