There's a very poignant statue by Emmanuel Fremiet outside the Mussee D’Orsey, Paris, of a baby elephant caught in a trap, with a clearly distressed chimpanzee trying to figure out a way to free him. It captures so well the shared understanding between animals and what we would call - rather ironically - “their humanity”.

There is far more empathy between animals than most of us imagine. Good clip Bob and an interesting statue Charles.
