Number #5, "do you know where your socks are", reminded me of my dog Mitch. It was the late 1970s Houston, I was going to a neighborhood club for happy hour. I spied this little white fluffy dog wandering the street, looking lost. I don't know why, I turned around and tried to find the little dog but couldn't. Weeks later I met this guy, Rob, at the club and we just started talking about our secretaries, something not important. We started dating. Weeks passed, I discovered Rob found the same little white dog on the streets, adopted it. He gave the little white dog the name Mitch. Almost at the same time, I came out of the club one night and a little black cat was in my Eldo convertible, I took her home, named her Mehitabel.
Time passed Rob and I moved in with each other, with Mitch and Mehitabel. Mitch was a mess with heart worms but with much money that was resolved. Mitch preferred a few things like underwear. He would find underwear in the closet and eat it. One night, walking the dog, he stopped to do his poop in front of the neighbors. Of course your dog is going to poop in front of people. What came out looked like he was pooping a candy-cane. He had eaten my red & white stripped underwear (it was the 1970s).
I will always remember that night my little Mitch pooped candy canes in front of others. Little Mitch lived with us for 18 years and I still miss him. Mehitabel lived with us for 21 years and she had her own story.
They are all great. Thanks.
