Both of these appeared in Studebaker's brochures for 1962. The company was struggling but wanted to demonstrate hope for the future.

The fantastic Sceptre, styled by Brooks Stevens. Stevens proposed this as a replacement for the GT Hawk.

Those would have been terrific cars ! If only Studebaker have had the time and funds available. We had a 1963 Lark Wagonaire and it was a very cool station wagon with the roll back roof.

Studebaker was a client of my Dad's in those years and his company designed and built Studebaker's exhibit displays at the car shows back then. Lot's of hopeful optimism for a time there, but it wasn't to last. Here's a picture of my Dad at the announcement of the Avanti at the Chicago Auto Show. He is the man at the lower left.

I gotta say...I'm not keen on these two concepts, but nor am I keen on the Studebakers after 1963; particularly the Lark design.  That squarish grille paled compared to the earlier one.
