The 1949 LINCOLN'S were Mercury looking in a interesting sort of way. At least that's the way I saw them. It was almost as if they were customized a little with their inset "headlights". They looked like a grown up Mercury and I like them because they are rare today from a collector car standpoint. In all the decades I've attended old car shows, I recall only seeing one of them, and that was years ago.

I LOVED the '49 Mercury but disliked the Lincoln; which always struck me as having the face of a critter from the age of the dinosaur. Weird I know, but it was my very first impression as a child and it remains with me...can't shake it.

David, NEO made a black 4-door (which I regret not buying), and Brooklin made a convertible in at least 2 colors, grey and maroon, that I am aware of.

I think you're right George. I did buy the Brooklin burgundy convertible model of this car though as I wanted it to be represented in my collection nonetheless. Strangely I found I liked this model as a 1:43, but still not as a 1:1.
