In a topic yesterday KAISER'S were discussed.

They were different looking from styling perspective, their engines weren't well received, but they are revered today.  I have to admit, I don't honestly ever recall seeing a Kaiser of any year at an Old Car Show, and I've been attending them since early Seventies, but I do know I saw one (and I don't know what year it was) back in the late Fifties a few houses down from where we lived at the time.  And I remember seeing Kaisers a few times on the Fifties TV show, "The Adventures of Superman".  The bad guys were driving them.

As a lover of old cars, I wish there were more Kaisers around and I'd have welcomed a 1:24 scale replica of one to my collection.

Some REAL KAISER Facts:

Kaiser sported a "Supersonic High-Torque Engine" that was a 226-cubic-inch inline six-cylinder that was originally developed for industrial us.  Kaiser claimed that its "new cushion-lined spring suspension, improved airplane-type shock absorbers and new perfect balance engine mounting" combined to provide a "Flying Shadow Ride".  I have no idea what the latter was, but it sure sounds like fun in their advertising.  Smile

I could not find a song for this marque but I did find Henry J’s history very interesting from Hoover Dam, to Liberty Ships, and TV show Hawaiian Eye.
