-20° is nothing to sneeze at !!.....but those Chilly Willy people in the video are "living" in an inhospitable hell.....

In a related vein David,have you ever had the opportunity to see Nanook of the North (1922)??? .....as a child I knew of it only as it was referenced on various cartoons and variety shows in the 50`s and into the 60`s....Bugs Bunny would frequently toss about the name "Nanook" with great aplomb 😏

What's the point of having an outhouse; you'd pee icicles then your bits would fall off.

You have to wonder how someone winds up living there.

@john-barry

Hi John,

First saw this in a High School history class in the 1950s. Impressive then and still gripping today. It did become part of pop culture.

Thanks for the reminder. I will watch it again later tonight.

A better question is why do they stay??

I looked it up.  It's a town of about 500 people and full of alcoholics who only eat meat and fish and poop sicles.  Must be a wonderful place to live.
