@jack-dodds Jack, I believe your soothing words may have saved Tony from a fate worse than death. Lucky for him you were able to deploy your high IQ with the needed wisdom.

It was actually a two-fold salvation - his soothing words and your always calm demeanor. I feel better - drinks on me!!

Myself, being married over 50 years, I know that there is no such thing as "silent treatment".  We've each learned that silence means we've both lost the debate/argument!

As for the man needing his wife to wake him up, I might be alone on this one, but I've never needed or had an alarm clock in my life.  I naturally wake up every morning by 5 or 6 o'clock and if I need to wake up earlier, I've never failed to do that either.  It's a freaky talent/curse I guess.

And on a side note to the "silent treatment", my princess and I, when in a war of words, one of us will blurt out, "Don't talk to me for the rest of the day and walk away".  It's never more than five minutes that we are back to normal conversation with whatever we were getting heated over, forgotten.

It works for us every time.

Thank you Bob.  Yes it humbles me to be able to put my 78.9 IQ and 100% original unproven advice out there to save lives.  Not to brag, but it's amazing what can be achieved when armed with a Grade 7 Certificate of Attendance/Achievement.  Tony I would like to celebrate with you over a libation but, assuming you will be giving a public acknowledgement to the crowd there of my life saving assistance, I must decline in order to maintain professional decorum........oh...martinis you say....well I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings...make mine a double...or doubles.

You are my role model George....a tough act to emulate.  As I age however, I do find that I am able to literally forget within the hour what my missus and I were having it out about...so that's a positive I suppose.

@bob-jackman Hell no.......as you will recall all women just create a mental inventory of all the times we men drop the ball and then bring them out, like weapons, when the situation dictates.  Once again....pure evil.
