1979, you are 25 years old and you just came into some money and decided to buy a new car for your everyday uses, what would be your top three choices in the order of the most desired.
Two today, which brings a close to this topic. I don't care for most cars out side the '50 - '72 model years and a would not be interested in buying cars before '48 or after '79 with a few exceptions of course. Been fun and interesting to see your choices, THANKS!
My picks:
Oldsmobile 88 & 98
Pontiac Bonneville

Thank YOU Bruce, for the fun topic!
When I took a job on the road in 1979 I needed a heavy car with a big trunk. I bought a Cadillac Coupe deVille. Best car I ever owned by far and I've owned a lot of cars.
Bruce, I meant to thank you for this stream as it has been fun.

How cool Bob! THAT had to be a great ride!!
In my 45 years on the road, as a marketing manager in the Commercial Casualty Insurance industry I had over 60 company cars. In 1979 I had two Chevy Malibu's. One was my wife's car and the other a company car.
This is Mom visiting, standing by my 1978 Malibu company car. Wife's '79 below it.
Then 1979 Malibu (wife's car) my '72 Corvette and the '79 Malibu company car.
I have always thought that Malibu's were nice looking cars even into more modern times.
