Ford: Wheels For The World by Douglas Brinkley made a great impact on me.........
I bought it second-hand and super-cheap from a US-seller and it was an ex-library book.

I love that book. Unfortunately (well, fortunately) I have hundreds of car books, so it's impossible to list them all...and I love pretty much all of them.
I do especially like the Cars of 1886 to 1930, Cars of the 1940s to 1950s, Cars of the 1960s to 1970s, and, finally Cars of the 1980s to 1990. I remember anxiously awaiting 2010,but there were no more of these.
I have lots of Ferrari books, and the 250 GTO by book by Jess Pourot (sp?) stands out as brilliant.
I could be here all day, so enough for now.

The Age of Combustion by Stephen Bayley is a good and entertaining read I would recommend.
