Well, my first thought was that if you took that fin off, the back end would look a bit like the Chrysler Turbine car.

But then I decided that with a '59 Cadillac, even two fins isn't enough, so let's combine the best of both worlds

With these suggestions above, suddenly the original starts to look better to me.

OMG!  Either one is a sight for sore eyes.  Thank the stars that neither was a reality.
