Too much like the Lincoln, too far away from the original concept for Tbird.

@perrone1, the original design for the T-Bird became the '61 continental. Both cars were built from the same platform. You can see it in the cowl and windshield.

The story goes that AFTER these drawings were submitted, it was immediately decided that this new T-Bird proposal would make a better Lincoln.  Lincoln "ran"  with these designs and told the T-Bird folks to go back to the drawing board...literally.
