The rear fender and roofline strike me as having a Chrysler Corp. feel. Even the surround front bumper has a later Chrysler house-style about it. I like the the front end but I would rather see it with the classic Ford, squarer rear and 'formal roofline' of the day.
It is a very interesting concept and it made it as far as a clay mockup.
Slinky body but saggy rear springs.
Hercule Moroni!! I swear Chris, you are deadly accurate as a sleuth extraordinaire! I believe you are right! Nice job!
Not a fan of the proposed '64.

@perrone1 Thanks again Tony, but all I did, really, was read the date on that sign. OTOH, perhaps that does make me a genius? LoL 😀 🤔 😀
Not for me...reminds me of an early 1960s Chryco mock up.
@frank I found the site that confirms this was indeed a 1967 Thunderbird proposal; there are several other interesting design concepts too. The site is "protected" so I couldn't post individual pics, only a link to it.

@chris, great article. You can see the evolution right through the '71 model.

Thanks for the link Chris.
Thanks guys. Growing up, we'd buy 4-doors (cheap ) to pirate their massive 429 V8s, but I didn't care much for that "bloated bird look." Now that I'm older I like it much better, thus, I found that site particularly interesting.
So.... thank you John, for getting the ball rolling. 😀
