It reminds me of the earlier Cadillac XLR that had a Northstar V-8 engine under the hood.
It's beautiful 😍. The windshield on the 'vert Camaro is like a "mail slot" so I hope this design / exercise isn't based on it.
👍 Steve 👍
Looks better and would no doubt sell better than the $300,000. Celestiq. Who is gonna pay 300G's for a Cadillac? The car looks like it got lost between the sedan and station wagon stops on the assembly line. If you have that kind of money, Caddy is not a nameplate you are even thinking about.
I wold pick up that Eldo in a second...in Red!
That's the older-style grille used up until 2020 and older wheels. The styling cues are from their electric cars. But as a convertible the overall look is dynamite!
A nice looking car but IMO is that the Cadillac customer? Years ago Cadillac lost it's way building lousy cars beginning with the Chevy Citation look alike Cimmeron. The public seeing that a Cadillac was nothing more than a Chevy with more cigarette lighters decided, rightfully, that they weren't worth the money. There was a time when Cadillac truly was a car that stood out from the crowd both in style and quality but no more. I'm not saying that Cadillacs are not quality cars but the average low priced car today has features that were unheard of years ago and through technology, the same build quality as a Cadillac perhaps not with all of the gadgets. I see this car as being better suited as a replacement for the Camaro where it would reach more customers, than as a Cadillac.
It's nice but I'm not sure if there is a market for it???
I'll wait for the mini-van...thank you.

Regarding the Celestiq, I see the design as polarizing in much the same way as recent Rolls-Royces. I doubt anyone on these boards is the target market for this car. It is bespoke in every area, mind-numbingly expensive, and radically designed. The fact that Cadillac used Lenny Kravitz to introduce the car says a lot about who they are targeting: young and rich rap stars, social media influencers, the new rich, etc.

@bob-jackman Bob; I suspect that Cadillac based its styling/production on the Chevy Impala body in order to stay in a viable price range situated lower than the Euro competition. I have a 2016 3.6 CTS AWD, love the look of it and enjoy driving it but agree with you that it ain't no traditional Cadillac as in the past. For me the latest spoiler for Cadillac is the tiny 2.0 engines they offer as standard now.....no way I would ever buy that drive train.
I love the look of this roadster!
Styling wise I'd prefer this 2-seater over any other European brand.
Steve, is it a 2 seater? I'm see what appears to be headrests in the rear?Styling wise I'd prefer this 2-seater over any other European brand.

@jack-dodds I have always liked the CTS and it's 3.6 engine as having plenty of scoot. We are on our third Nissan Murano with the 3.5 V6 and love the power but they are now making them with a four cylinder engines which means I will no longer buy a Murano.
@bob-jackman Yeah same goes for the Nissan Rogue and others.......smaller engines with turbo just have to work harder in my old fashioned mind. Kind of puts me off.
