The only folks to buy them would have been funeral directors and used as hearses.

I wouldn't have been interested in one.  Fact is, I've never been a fan of a Lincoln or Cadillac station wagon or an SUV.  I've always felt it takes away from the luxury and prestige those cars are supposed to convey.  But, people buy them, so what do I know!  Surprised

That sure is ugly !

LOL, I was told several times on these Forums that cars can't be UGLY.  And that my saying a car was ugly was being rude and disrespectful.  I've since decided that I will just say that a car doesn't appeal to me.  Smile

Ugly is an opinion, and in the USA I was under the impression opinions are welcome. I believe the ugly non opinion was for private custom cars and ugly should not be used to spare the designer of the custom any bad feelings.  Manufactures deserve everybody's opinion weather rude or disrespectful , they have big shoulders.

Well you pretty much summed up what my comments were when I was called on for referring to a cars as being ugly.  Several posters got all over me that I was insulting the owner of said cars...and these were NOT custom cars.  I remember relating to the individuals that "ugly" is an adjective that describes something (in this instance a car) and so therefore if it was my opinion that if a car was ugly, then I was entitled to that opinion.  I also remember stating that "beautiful" is also an adjective that describes something (again, it could be a car), and that too could be an opinion.  But I was told I was rude and disrespectful for the "ugly" opinion and comment.

As I said in my previous post above, rather than ruffle feathers I now just say, "a car doesn't appeal to me".  I enjoy this Forum and the people on, and I don't want to debate an opinion and certainly it's not my intent to offend anyone.  We're all here to enjoy cars and models.  Smile
