Yes, this could've ended much differently. He may have been embarrassed but he was also very lucky!

Honestly though, haven't we all done this?  I know I have.....as a kid, I ruined a bicycle this way. I was humiliated, my friends thought it was hilarious....my father did not. 😪 😔

I'm guessing a helmet might have helped the outside of his head but would have very little effect on the inside.
