Well, I'm glad all the intellectuals amongst us are feeling justifiably smug right now.

Unfortunately dear old Mr Dodds has been strangely silent these past few days. A few well-chosen words from him could still drop us back down to a "Simian A++" rating.

Jack has been invited to participate in a high-level study being conducted by a think tank in Klamath Falls, Oregon which has been awarded a government grant to study "'Ketchup Bottles of the Depression' and their role in cultural humor of the day."

Paul! You won! You won!

You will shortly be notified as to how to collect your winnings. While we heartily congratulate you, not only on winning the grand prize(s) but on single-handedly raising our collective IQs into the coveted "Nearly Sentient" category, we feel obligated to inform you that we have been unable to determine the whereabouts of our last prize winner. He and his family were last seen entering Canada under assumed names and passports. If we're unable to locate them prior to your arrival, you may have the opportunity to remove their junk...receive their winnings as well.

another day____another "bird-in-the-board" for the boys in the bunko squad

You mean . . . .

Apparently he was a singular chap in those days.

p.s. Just in case Mr Dodds gets around to reading this post and feels slightly miffed, I should just say that I was trying to pay him a huge compliment by suggesting that he could single-handedly exert a considerable influence on the course of events. But perhaps I expressed it a trifle clumsily.

I HEARD THAT!!  What's a Simian....is that good?  I know it's good on my toast in the morning, mixed with sugar.
