Way back in the 80's I had a 1977 Austin Mini 1000.
I loved driving it, it drove just like a go-kart.
After having added Slick-50 to the engine-oil, I was quite sure I had made myself a small stoplight monster.....well,...for the first 100 meters that is...
But man, the sheet metal was bad.....and not just bad,... no it was mid-seventies English metal bad....
I just couldn't keep it rust-free anymore, so I decided to sell the poor car.
And now comes my question: would you buy your worst car again ?
And what was your worst car ?
This was my monster:
I bought a '68 Audi 100 LS in, I think, 1971. It was a blast to drive but it broke down frequently and, even doing my own work, I had a really hard time getting parts. Ultimately, a friend and I put a rebuilt engine in it, gutted it except for a driver's seat, and took it rallying. I would NOT buy another one.

Toss up between 82 mustang 4 cyl and 80 Pinto… both got me back and forth from Coast Guard cutters in FL and CA respectively but NO I would not do them again.

My worst car was a '77 Thunderbird, that thing was constantly breaking down-one issue after another. I bought it used and obviously it was not all that it promised.
But with that, I love that car and I just kept doing whatever it would take to put it back on the road. I owned it for nearly four years, but it was probably only on the road less than 1/2 that time.
Yes I would buy it again, I loved the style and look, so yes I would be suckered into that money pit all over again for sure.

@jcarnutz, I agree about the style, John. It was fresh and exciting at a time when there was not much to get excited over.

Worst car I ever owned, new 1983 Plymouth Reliant, Went back to the dealer 11 times for the same problemS and one of the first cars to take advantage of Conn. Lemon Law. Chrysler took the car back to the factory for 30 days and replaced 5 pages of parts, the entire front end & drive train. I accepted the car as fixed with 1.5 years use with 17,000 miles on it. After 8 months of no problem, it came back and I traded it in on a new 1986 Buick Le Saber which the [1 year] X-wife totaled a years later.
My 1986 VW Jetta GLI. Every electrical problem known to cars. None of them were ever really fixed. Finally trashed it and bought used 1990 Honda Accord, totally reliable for the ten years I drove it.
