Graeme; Your results on this project are spectacular. A very, very ambitious project and using brass to boot! I've done quite a few conversions and couldn't imagine the frustrations that I would have had using brass. You must have a set of excellent saws and a ton of patience and determination.

Glad you liked it. As for the brass, well, I have done some quite tricky brasswork requiring patience and quite a few broken jeweller's saw blades, but for this job only the rear panel insert and the hood ornament actually had to be cut. All the brass trim lines were done with P/E brass strips from frets produced by Scale Link. They do various strips ranging from 0.5 mm wide upwards, plus a variety of square and diagonal meshes useful for grillework.

Heaven forbid that I would have cut all those trim strips by hand. Not a chance.
