I was just taking inventory and noticed that I had a fair amount of 1/24 motorcycles. I lean towards the “D” side of mint models, but “F” hit it out of the park with their HD collection. I never acquired the full set but one by one got the one’s I liked. The workmanship and details are truly amazing, especially for the fact that they are 1/24.
I don’t reckon you could call the Maisto Harley’s diecast, but they fit in nicely with a little detailing.
Lastly are a couple of models, I believe they are from “Atlas” which are special to me because the Bonneville was my unobtained dream bike growing up, and my late brother rode with a local club called “ Stone Free”, and although he rode a ‘36 Indian Chieft he loved his CB 750’s (3 of them) even though one damn near killed him earlier.
Very nice Chris, I would definitely have the large scale if I had the space. Actually wouldn’t mind 1/1!
I love 'em Kevin but like Chris I'm not a bike guy. My appreciation of accurate scale replication on show! Here's a couple I have scattered about the 1/24 car displays.
My 4 big 1/12 FM bikes:
And a little French post office diorama featuring European moped style bikes.
As I'm sure your aware IXO et al make 100s of them in 1/24. All the ones I have are equal to FMs 1/24s.
I appreciate the larger scale motorcycle models, and am familiar with them as my late brother had several 1/10 Indians and Harley’s. 1/24 (and 1/25) have always been my choice, probably because I grew up with them, and they are easier to display and manage. What really fascinates me with the FM HD’s is the amazing ping tiny details and workmanship on them. You need a magnifier to truly appreciate them, and consider the fact that they were produced over 20 years ago! Thanks guy’s.
Kevin, Chris, Geoff - these look fantastic! They also liven up any display as they intermingle in your car collections.
I only have about 6 or 7 of them - I need to rectify that! Thanks for the pics!
