.... it's H.O. scale (1/87)    Here's a bit of inspiration next time you make a diorama, or outdoor backdrop for your models, good luck.  😏

I used to go to the model train shows with my Dad,   Those model train layouts were amazingly detailed.   They were to me, the best part of the show.

I've been an N-scale "armchair"  model RR'er (I have closets full of stuff ) since I was in my 20's; I've seen thousands of pics & layouts.   This is the absolute best 1/87 track photo I've ever seen!  😲 😉     There's only ONE clue that tells 'ya it's fake.    😏

Good guess, but "No."    However, you're on the track (no pun intended ).    🤔 🤔 🤨 🤔

The train rerailer in the upper corner, or the ties are two small to be real.

Admittedly, that re-railer is suspect however the railroad ties provide the clues.   Although it would be common to find neat, clean, unform ties in well-kept yards & stations, it would be extremely rare to see such "pristine"  ties in "the wild"  without damage, rust stains, discoloration, rot, or weeds growing between them.

That being said, as I noted, these are the VERY BEST scale train tracks w/scenery I've ever seen.  Virtually 100 out of 100 would accept this as genuine.  It's an amazing diorama, that beats out my previous winner.   This diorama is NOW #2

Those diorama shots are spectacular.  A great amount of work went into those to make them so real.

@chris Chris, you are exactly correct that in the real world the ties would not be pristine unless they are new. Many new mainline ties are now made of concrete.
