Gave this to our daughter last Christmas. It was a kit dollhouse and for the last 6 months we have been putting it together when we both had time. My wife will be happy when it get's moved off the dining room table. Everything had to be put together and painted. I finished laying the last of the roof shingles this morning. The roof itself took 6 nights just to shingle. All in all we are happy with the results. The interior still needs to be done, but that will be another time.
Beautiful John, bet she was thrilled!
WOW. Those things aren't easy to build but WOW - you two did a fabulous job. THAT'S, for certain, a labor of love.
John, I can relate. My wife builds houses and dioramas and it's amazing how long it takes. Our house is overtaken by my model cars and her miniatures. Excellent work on yours.
John that is sensational, congratulations on a job very well done.
John, thanks for sharing the photos. These doll houses can have amazing detail, both inside and outside. I remember helping a friend build one of these. I did the shingles, so I understand the time it can take. I assume you will do the interior work. When finished, would you take some interior photos? On a related idea. I believe these are 1/12 scale. There are some 1/12 scale cars that would look good in its driveway.

Ed, Thanks. As for the interior, it will be next year working on that if my daughter wants to move forward. For now it is off the Dining Room table and ready to decorate for Christmas. New 10' tree just arrived today and 10 others 2' to 9' trees to get out.
