As a teen, I was addicted to those 1930's and '40 Universal Pictures horror movies. There were weekly programs like Shock Theater that had a package of 52 pre-1948 horror films. I really dug the old Frankenstein, Mummy, Dracula and Wolfman movies with their many sequels. This vignette from "The Bride of Frankenstein was my last foray into building and painting figures. The guy who sculpted this did a fantastic job. I found some old color photographs on the internet to be able to duplicate Karloff's makeup having only the black and white movies to draw from. Now, at 79, my hands are shot.
From a fellow addict, a permanent resident in my photo library!
You did an amazing job with the sculpture, I was in a hurry when I first skimmed over your post. Now that I’ve had a chance to read it more thoroughly I realize that you actually painted it. A true work of art!
Rich you did a fabulous job of painting these figures.
...well, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job; everything looks scary-good! Old Hollywood could've used you for set design, wardrobe & makeup tests. 😉
thats a work of art Rich
