I had this random thought the other day while checking out my collection. Now mind you, I have a very small collection, about 50 to 60 1/24 Mints. I have always tried to collect models that I really like and have some kind of connection to.  I was wondering if I could choose just one favorite. I kept narrowing down until I had a list of 10, very, very difficult! Here’s 9 through 2 in no particular order.

Number 1 is in my humble opinion the absolute pinnacle for Danbury Mint, or any other maker. Let me know what you think about my pick, and share the favorite from your collection (if you can!).

Very nice collection!  Hard to pick a favorite but I lean to the '41 Chevy Deluxe coupe; those colors are awesome.

you have outstanding taste in models and cars Kevin. I have 6 of those and would eagerly grab the other 4 if I could. If I had to be arm twisted, I'd say mine is the 1932 DM Cadillac V16 Fleetwood, this is an ebay pic. However, I can't seem to remove, one of yours, the recently acquired 1947 Buick wagon from my desk to a spot in the cabinet!

...of that group, which are ALL nice, I too would pick the '54 Eldo.  DM nailed it!

Hard to beat any of them. I'd eagerly go along with the 54 Caddy. I wouldn't overlook the '47 Buick Roadmaster Station wagon either. Of a different era, the '36 Packard is compelling.

I love hearing your picks, hope to hear more! I too love the ‘30’s models, they actually make up most of my collection. I think I may be subconsciously biased towards the ‘40’s, early ‘50’s because those were the ones I grew up with. I saw very few of the ‘30’s on the road, but was mesmerized by them when I did. Your picks are gorgeous, truly “gangster, mine from that era are much more mundane, but I have a real connection to them. I had a photo of my Dad standing by his ‘36 which was just like this one except for being a lighter color. I remember asking about the color, he told me it was officially called “babyshit yellow!”  Probably close to the beautiful ‘35 which was neck and neck with my overall pick, had to pull the trigger on the Caddy in the end. eccentric uncle drove  around a 1930 Plymouth coupe all through into the mid sixties, I guess the ‘A’s remind me of him.

Kevin, like you I grew up with primarily late forties, fifties and sixties cars. I am a 1940 model myself and got my drivers license in 1956 and took the test in my dad's 1955 Pontiac Star convertible so FM's model of that car stands out for me in memories. The other model that is a favorite of mine is the DM 1956 Ford Victoria which I had in 1/1 scale in 1960. I have all of the models in your pictures and there isn't a bad one in the group. Love the post.

For me, the greatest, BESTEST   1/24 "Mints"  ever produced was by Danbury....      I would love to have one in 1/18 (I have only about 20 1/24 models )... yes, I know I'm dreaming, but this 1956 Buick Roadmaster is drop dead gorgeous!

My skills aren't  at the level as some of you but it's my version of the Chevy 150 and I'm pretty happy with it.

@david-vandermeer That ‘55 is ultra cool, great work David! The Coupe de Ville has been on my radar for a long time, waiting for one to come along a couple of hundred dollars less than the asking prices that I’ve seen. I’m real happy to see all of the responses, lots of your picks are models that I’d love to have also. Keep em coming!
