The National Geographic Magazine was always a good place to find automobile advertisements and I used to look at those as well as the interesting articles within. These two advertisements were in the magazine long before my time but they are very cool ones to see. They show a V-12 Lincoln from about 1940 and a big Buick straight-eight Roadmaster from 1946.
The big Buick is especially nice and that high-powered Lincoln headed for the clouds on that kind of scary mountain road is really neat, too.
You got to be kidding me.... I always looked at the magazine for the half-dressed women from around the world... And I think you know what I mean... LMAO
Then I reached puberty ....
Lol, yes, the pretty girls from around the world who didn't tend to wear tops was a given ! Ummm, of course, it was strictly anthropological research, naturally ! That, combined with cool car advertisements made for enlightening reading ........
