This is a model of a mid-1960's Alfa Romeo 2-seat convertible coupe that I still have. I put this one together as a small kid but was too inexperienced to paint it ! I think scale is around perhaps 1/32 or so.

It really is, John ! My Dad sometimes would also get me a Schuco car imported from West Germany after he was on a business trip. I still have some.

It's an Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Touring, US spec, from '58-'62!   A lovely kit!

Thanks, Karl ! The box is long gone so I had only known it was an Alfa Romeo. It sure is a cool automobile and I know I was delighted with it when I was a kid ..... and I still am ! Smile

Now, THAT'S really cool!  I wish that I had my models from my childhood!  I have none!  I do have a couple of Tonka-pressed steel trucks, though.

I am like that, too, Marty. I have a couple 1/25 promos and a few other model automobiles in different scales, but I used to have many more that have vanished into the mists of time.

It's held up well.  Wish I still had all the models I built as a kid.  Even though today you can get the same model that I built in the 60's.  Only difference is that I paid $1.50 for a kit compared to $30-35 today.
