Actual house located in Lenox, Massachusetts

Architectual model in 1:43 built in 1989. I wish I’d taken pictures during construction as it is stick built just like the actual house built in 1941. Construction of model is out of basswood. Garage door opens so 1:43 scale car fits right in.

(Post worked this time. Thanks, John. Not sure what was causing the problem)

Magical. Now which of our models would we drive out of the garage? Do you still have the model, David?

Thanks, John, for posting this video again after all these years. In 2010 the roof was replaced with wood shakes and an outdoor shower was added.

Here’s how it looks today.

@charles-rockett

Charles, any one of our 1:43 cars would be at home in the garage. Interesting observation: When that house was built in 1941, the garages were narrower and all cars had bench front seats so in a one car garage the driver simply slid over to exit by the right front door. With today’s center consoles it’s much more  difficult for the driver to get out of the car in an earlier one car garage attached to a house of that vintage.

@david-knight A very keen observation. When I think of a charming house like this, in New England, I can imagine the problems an owner in the sixties or seventies might have had, given they'd likely favour full width Imperials or Eldorado! (Perhaps I've been looking at too many car ad's !)
