@geoff-jowett Thanks Geoff. I'll say it again (...and again ) I have you to thank. Despite owning this model for years AND hating those awful looking "wire wheels," it never occurred to me to replace them with "wooden Ts."
And the REAL irony is that for 40 years I've had a 1/20 Hubley-Gabrial 1909 Model T ...WITH EXACTLY THE SAME WHEELS (colors, pattern, etc..) I replicated in 1/18 for this speedster. 🙄 😯 🙄Â
Chris, where did the white tires come from? Did you make them?
Although I had a "Plan A, B & C" for making/acquiring period-correct white Model T tires.... I discovered a "Plan D." I simply pirated them from 1/18 Maisto 1909 Harley Davidson motorcycles (likes this one, only smaller ). As you can see, they worked perfectly. 😎Â
Hardly a bother Chris! Has been an interesting, enjoyable and instructive post from day 1. Especially to someone new to modelling. The finished product looks fantastic, more than worth the effort. Well done sir!
@geoff-jowett Thank you Geoff, you're too kind. I just posted a "photo-shoot" on the 1/18 Forum. Afterall, I owe it all to you! 🙂
