Here is a part of another website that still seems to work that features LED lighting for diecast cars. Such lights can really give a dramatic and realistic effect and being LED's, they don't really get hot. For photographic diecast car images, this can be done in software, but these are for "live" effects and would be quite realistic and interesting.

I have used Evan Designs a few times and found them to be very helpful and professional. I put headlights in a scratch built 1/8 scale 1904 Rambler and currently under construction, headlights installed in a modified 1903 Cadillac Osceola by Tootsie Toys.
