I promised pics when I received the L.E. DM General Motors pickups, so here they are!
That got me thinking about the trucks in my collection. I only have two other limited, they were both tuff finds.
These’uns are cute as bugs ears, but I feel they are underrated and under appreciated, especially the Dodge.
Ok, just one more… I only have one custom, and it’s one of my favorites. It’s more of a shop truck, and it’s detailed out with all of the rat-rod cues, amazing little model in my opinion.
Thanks for looking’
Nice collection Kevin.
Nice! The '41 GMC & '51 Ford are my favorites. 😎 😎
great set there Kevin, those rat rod trucks are very very hard to find. You share my "seeking the tough one" approach!
All are great-looking pickup trucks and certainly make for excellent models. Really nice collection !
I appreciate all your comments guys. I’ve had a love for truck models for as long as I can remember. I grew up very poor so if I was able to get a Tonka truck for Christmas or Birthday, I was in Seventh Heaven! I bet a lot of us are in the same boat, trying to make up for things we couldn’t have as kids. How about that, free psychological advise!
@kevins Great trucks Kevin! I love model pickups as well as I was raised on a farm in a rural community, so nostalgia definitely plays a part. I learned to drive in the fields and back roads as a boy. Our truck was a '54 GMC just like the one below (only wore worn looking...lol).
@jack-dodds I love the ‘50’s GMC trucks Jack, pickups didn’t come any tougher (or cooler!). I grew up so rural that I lived literally just yards from a Forest E.Wise and Son’s John Deere dealership/hardware/grain mill in Aultman Ohio. In the early 60’s you saw way more trucks than cars around there. Weird thing though, back then they actually hauled stuff in the beds. Crazy huh?!
I thought the very same thing when I was taking the pic Tony. It is kind of like Christmas when you snag a most wanted. (Or two or three!) Nice ‘50, Is that Tennessee whiskey in the barrels? I did a fair share of Jack blue label back in the day!
Nope; it's St. Nick Stout - stout is a thick, rich dark beer.I thought the very same thing when I was taking the pic Tony. It is kind of like Christmas when you snag a most wanted. (Or two or three!) THIS is a Tennessee Whiskey:
@perrone1 Drink a couple barrels of St. Nick's Stout and you will be !
@perrone1 Dats a fact Jack……er, I mean Tony. Single malt gives you better nutrition than Black Jack! Better dreams too!
