I agree Tony, Mr. Eastwood is indeed a national treasure, and a very nice man to boot. And your step-Kitty looks like the all American orange cat. Very cool. Just for fun, one of my favorite ‘50’s hot rod lifestyle photos. Check out this guys tool board!

Kevin, I love the 3 window coupe! LOVE the flathead power and the crafted fenders. I think the 'tool boy' is adorable but the tool board is NOT so cool. If you'll notice; that 7/16 box wrench is slanted! (LOL!!)
@kevins Your kitty story is almost identical to ours. We have a black/white kitty, Domino, who had been around the neighborhood for a couple of years which several of us had fed along with the other feral cats. This cat would not let anyone within 20 feet of him but I would talk to him every time I was outside. One day he decided that I was okay and came up and brushed against my leg. That was about six years ago now and he follows my wife and I anytime we are outside working in the yard or I am working in my garage working on my old cars. We tried bringing him inside but he wasn't happy with our other cat, Lucy, or our dog Barkley. Domino has his own elevated condo with a heating pad and food and water supply. Like your baby, he loves when we take a break so he can sit on our laps for attention. Love those critters.
@bob-jackman Seems to be a cat’s usual M.O., show up to your house looking disheveled and hungry with a sad expression, and allow you to feed it and maybe even pet it daily from then on. I asked my wife what she thought about my theory and she said it was also my M.O.. I was so insulted that I hissed at her and scratched her hand! Back on topic, the more I look at the Von Esser, the more impressed I am. I can’t imagine the cost and complexity of trying to replicate the model today, in my mind it was DM’s G.O.A.T. in its category, and certainly a favorite of mine. Nice of you to share your story and your thoughts.
