1:18 Pochers?

Before they made the ultra-detailed 1:8 scale kits, Pocher made plastic 1:18 models - mostly Fiats to be used by Fiat for new model introductions.  Have you ever heard of these before?  I have had these 2 ~1:18 Alfa Romeos for many years but don't know much about them. A Montreal and a 1750 GTV!

Hi Karl,

I have five 1/8 scale Pochers but knew nothing about these 1/18 scale earlier versions. If you find out more, please share. They seem crude in comparison to the larger kits but Fiat and Alfa likely set strict costing for production.

@david-green carmodel.com has several Fiats shown in their encyclopedia under "Pocher Plast".   But that's all I find online...  

My two Alfas are a bit crude but very nice for large plastic toys (or dealer give-aways) from 1970... Nothing like their later metal kits.

Wow!  This is news to me as well.  However, it makes sense that Pocher began producing other scales and then gravitated to 1:8 scale models. 

As a side note, I have built four 1:8 scale Pochers.  Three Prestige level and one Classic.  The Prestige models are really easy, and the Classic was beyond a doubt, the most difficult build I've ever encountered.  I never want to build another Classic Pocher.
