The '64 Galaxie is one of my favorite '60s full size cars. I like the hardtop with the sports roof.

A great design from Ford. I have the hardtop version in red from SunStar.

I too am a fan of the 64 Galaxie. This convertible by SunStar is quite nice but the hardtop leaves a lot to be desired as the roof line is all wrong.

Bob, using a snap of my red '64 500 hardtop and a real '64 Ford, this animation may tend to show that if the door/vent window-windshield and top were bodily moved forward perhaps a half inch or so, it would line up better on the hardtop. This isn't so noticeable on the convertible.

@mikedetorrice WOW!!!! That's a really neat visual. Not only have you diagnosed the problem, but once again, you've astonished me with your Photoshop wizardry!

Awww, gee, Rich ! LOL, I still like all my models, imperfections and all .... and computer tricks make it possible to painlessly alter a replica to see "what-if".

Thanks Mike. My criticism of the hardtop doesn't preclude me from owning it.

Sadly, this model has always sucked! Sunstar has made some real sorry mistakes when replicating a few models; this 1964 Ford ranks near the top. Years ago I "compared & complained" but of course it was all in vein. I TRULY WISH there WAS an ACCURATE 1/18 1964 Ford!  ....Oh yeah, how about a 1961 and 1962 also!

I always loved the '63.

Dad 'n Mom bought a Vintage Burgundy Country Squire. I loved those fold down rear seats and retractable tailgate window. Just about no manufacturers make any of those type windows anymore. I did see a Toyota yesterday but can't remember the model.
