John, I see the Shelby has "landed." Badass, just like I knew it would be! A fine collection to "Stang stable." No surprise on the weight though, Autoart can be "light" at times, Lane's are usually somewhat beefy.
The AUTOart cars are moving to a composite body instead of diecast, they say the composite mould allows for sharper lines and detail on the bodies, the one area where the AUTOart does fall short is the seats, while the door panels and dash/center consul are well done the seats fall short on detail for such a nice car at this price point. I do like them including side windows. Overall I think the AUTOart is a very nice car.
I have an AUTOart Viper coming and when it arrives I will compare it to the AUTOart Viper I already have. The one I have now is a diecast body and the new one is a composite body so it will be interesting to see the weight difference between those two.
One of the things I like about the AUTOart Shelby is they opened the grille so you can see the radiator/A/C condenser and they have the slit opening in the hood.
Thanks John. I was unaware of AA composite bodies (win, win for all I guess). Thanks again for these fine pics.
