@chris Look for a limited run of 250 made under license by Retro Models. It's about 2/3 the price of the Acme.

When ACME re-released this model it is not identical to the GMP version when they did it, there are brake lines on the front brakes on the GMP version and under the hood the GMP version has an A/C compressor and evaporator box on the right side of the firewall. On the interior the steering wheel on the GMP is a three spoke deep dish, where on the ACME re-release it is a flat steering wheel.

The rims on the GMP also a silver and darker grey color than on the ACME. Also the GMP has a left side chrome mirror where as the ACME has painted sport mirrors on both sides. The front side marker lights are different colors as well.

AMCE also put a vinyl top on the re-release as well. The original release does have more detail but I have noticed that with the ACME re-releases the detail is not as good as the original releases.

Does the suspension work on the Re-release? The original has working suspension.

Also I noticed the ACME re-release has GoodYear tires on it where the GMP has Firestone tires.

Two Lane Blacktop was my brother's favorite movie.  I used to have the 55 Chevy kit.
