I have been watching another British model in need of repair, this time a Bentley Flying Spur, with a mirror knocked off. The mirror comes with the package, but the photos I have from the listing don't leave me feeling confident. So, I asked for more photos and the seller complied, though they weren't very informative and there were no photos of the interior, nor the engine compartment, even though there was a photo of the open boot. The seller says other than the mirror the car is in 'collector condition,' though I have a sense he might be referring to the dirt and dust on this 'pristine' model. I can easily fix the mirror and the price is at the Ben Franklin level, which doesn't seem over the top, but I also can't see any markings on the undercarriage that would indicate it is a Minichamps model. Have a look and feedback is welcome.

Yes, several, however NOT this model.
Both Kyosho AND Minichamps issued 1/18 replicas of this particular Bentely. However, only Minichamps has a sunroof (such as yours ) and their license plates are black (such as yours ). Both models featured opening doors hood & trunk. Your pics are defiantly a Minichamps Bentely.
Needs a thorough cleaning. My first concern was that the doors didn't open and to clean the interior and inside windows, would necessitate a dismantling. But since they apparently open, it will be much easier to clean.
@perrone1 Yes, cleaning will be the first task, but I see something on the hood, where it comes to the windshield, that looks like more than dirt outlined in the attached photo. I have been tracking several Minichamps Bentleys that have significant paint issues and I don't want to end up painting an entire model.
@gdh Honestly, from these poor-quality pics it's virtually impossible to tell precisely what this model looks like. So MANY things could be wrong that you can't see.....
I know you want to save a few dollars, however, sometimes this old adage still applies:
@chris Sage advice, Chris. I will ask the seller about the paint issue I see and he will have more photos for me later today. If they are as poor in resolution and substance as the ones I already have I will make an offer of half of his asking price with the stipulation that there are no further issues with the paint, or construction. At that price I can afford to take a shot at it and with his email agreeing to my stipulations, eBay will be quick to issue a refund if the worst happens.

Yeah, this would seal the deal for me - turn around and walk away.

@perrone1 Ah, so you're confirming my suspicion that there is damage in that area. I think that puts the last nail in that coffin. I'll just save up for a Kyosho Mulsanne.
