This 1968 Alfa Romeo Type 33/2 Le Mans 'Corda Lunga' (long tail) was designed for better speed on the straights and could be swapped out with the short tail rear. The car was powered by a new Autodelta 2.5 liter V8 producing 315 HP. Unfortunately, that year class limits were 2 liter and 3 liter putting the engine in the middle of the two displacements. Of the four long tailed works cars entered, 3 swept 4th, 5th and 6th.
Rich,
Are you accepting applications for adoption? I promised to be a GOOD kid! I'll take out the trash, cut lawns, and keep my room clean.
@marty-johnson If I adopt you, I'll be putting you to work organizing the disaster that is my collection. I no longer know what I have, where I have it, and most importantly, where to start. I wish we had a functioning auction so I could offer up the piles and crates of models that have filling up whole rooms in the house. When I'm downstairs in my walkout where my computer is, I can't even get near, let alone use, the bathroom. It became a total disaster when I sold my old man cave condo a few years back and then had to cram 3 generations of Sufficool relics into an already filled house.
Uhhhh.... My goodness! I'm almost speechless and coming from me, that's freakin' almost impossible!!!
In lieu of the new and previously unknown information regarding your collection, regretfully, I feel compelled to rescind my request to apply for adoption. The dealbreaker for me is it sounds like I wouldn't have a private bedroom.
That said, I'm sure you know of the website known as "eBay?" The journey of a liquidated 1,000-model collection starts with a single box. You already have the photos so.........
@marty-johnson I keep hoping the auction site here could be fixed. I'm not worried about making any money, I'd just like to give them a good home to people I know.
