Not the most loved Porsche, but I've always liked the funky looks.  AA did an excellent job on this fairly rare Millenium series model (check out sold prices on Ebay!).  I had intended to buy the Revell 914/4, but am glad I held out for AA's /6, though do wish it was the cool '70's Signal Orange instead of classic Silver.  Norev is releasing a sealed version of the /4 in green & orange shortly.

The 914/4 was the Motor Trend Import Car of the Year for 1970.  A joint venture between VW & Porsche, it was intended to replace both the Porsche 912 & the VW Karmann Ghia.  The 914/6, like this AA model received the Flat-6 from the late '60s 911T.

Gavin,

Great model.  I have the AA version in white however. Never saw the silver version.

FYI. I owned a 914-6, (triple black). I kick myself for selling it every time I see one.

Thanks very much.  So cool that you owned the real thing.  I can't even remember that last time I saw one.

2 guys in my high school had 914s, though both were /4s.

Prices for the 1/1 914/6 have sky rocketed in the last two years.

@bob-jackman

Thanks Bob.  More for me to kick myself about. I never should have sold mine.
