Don Garlits Swamp Rat 1B

Here is the Don Garlits Swamp Rat 1B, this configuration was run at a drag strip in Houston Texas without the front body work, it also has a blower on the engine replacing the former carburetor set up Garlits had been running. These cars were in continuous change as they were developed. This is also what Don Garlits called the square back cars due to the square shape of the rear. GMP did six Swamp Rat cars, Swamp Rat 1, Swamp Rat 1B, Swamp Rat III, Swamp Rat VI, Swamp Rat VII and Swamp Rat VIII in 1/18 scale. The bodies on these cars are made of aluminum as noted by another member of this forum, they are very nicely done replicas.
