This is a gorgeous 1959 Mercury and SunStar did a wonderful job on these 1/18 gems ! I have a top-down convertible and a hardtop coupe version of this beauty and they are among my favorites.

@100ford2003 Totally agree Steve. I have both the convertible and hardtop and Sunstar hit a homerun on both.

I loved the '56 Mercury convertible too.

If I collected 1:18 scale, I would definitely want this one in my collection.

@100ford2003 Their '56 Montclairs were extremely well done. That was my first car and the model was a trip down memory lane.

@rich-sufficool

Yep, I remember from years ago how thrilled you were about that model. Lol, years ago? Or was it decades ago?

@100ford2003 I'm guessing 15 years ago based on my dated photos.

I added that '56 Mercury to my collection not long after its release, and that was in mid-2010.

@jcarnutz I got that model straight from Sun Star for a photo shoot and review which means I took those pics soon after I received it. So I figure 2010 was the release year. I don't think I reshot it.

Rich, there's nothing better than a model of a car you had/have especially one as we done as this Sun Star in your exact colors.
