Some years ago Highway 61 did an exceptionally nice 1/18 diecast model of the first series Plymouth Barracuda. That first version featured a giant rear window and was developed out of the current Plymouth Valiant compact automobile.

That looks great. I don't think I've seen one of these before.

Highway 61 did a fine job with this car and I also have Yat Ming's 1969 version and the later 1970 one that H61 also did in 1/18. All are terrific "pony car"-style automobiles from the muscle car era.

I have always liked the 1968 Barracuda, especially the notchback roof configuration.  No company has ever produced it in 1:18 scale, and I highly doubt we'll ever see it.

It is a fine looking auto in all it's configurations and makes an excellent replica in any scale. I have been fortunate to see a real 1:1 version at a local car show some years back.

I like the look of the fastback with the small hub caps and black tires. Great pics too!
